In a bid to promote the use of electric cars as a sustainable option in today's time, the World Advanced Vehicle Expedition will be held in India on 3rd December 2011.
5 Electric cars will be flown down from Switzerland to cover 3,000 KM, starting in Mumbai on 3rd Dec 2011 and arrive in Bangalore on 10th Dec. The final stop will be Mumbai on the 18th of Dec 2011.

Auroville the quite hamlet in Pondicherry not to long ago had a rally to emphasis the need for us to take action towards climate change by organizing an electric car rally.
Electric vehicles are the future when you look at the current state of the environment, so kick starting this movement on environment friendly transportation were a convoy of electric cars, electric bikes, electric scooters and electric rickshaws as well!
